After all, a water cooled machine gun is very crude compared to what we have in our universe, in the present day. The design of a water-cooled machine gun actually makes sense, because it fits the idea of bulky and crude technology. The reason why, is because in the world of Fallout, the transistor was introduced later in history, and most advanced technology is very bulky and cumbersome. I feel like the assault rifle at the same time fits Fallout 4's retconned setting, but at the same time it does not. Today, I will be giving my thoughts on the assault rifle, and how I feel about it's design, and what I feel like should have been done differently about it. Or how the Deliverer looks like a Makarov pistol, giving a Cold-War espionage feel, which is perfect considering what was happening in the pre-war days. Some of these designs make sense, such as how the 10mm pistol looks bulky and over-complicated. One of them is because there are a lot of retconned designs that gave me a fresh feeling once I started the game.
